Starting point:
Please turn in the centre of Russbach at the Raiffeisenbank in the direction of the Rinnberg. Go on until you get to the ban on driving sign. You can park your car here.
Your way will go on on the forest street for about 15 minutes. Follow the guidepost and turn left. After plentyof metres on the Jungbrunnenweg turn right and continue your journey through the woods. Now your way comes to the forest street again but then the way turns right again and leeds you into the beautiful mixed forest.
From this point your trail will get quite percipitous. But the trees offer some shade. Again the forest street has to be crossed and after one hour you will finally reach a nice alpine meadow. The summit cross can be spotted from here. Continuing your hike along the meadow it will take you 15 minutes to get to the hut and another 15 to the summit cross eventually.
The wonderful vista is gorgeous, the Dachstein, the Gosaukamm and the Gamsfeld, the Tennengebirge, the view of Russbach and down upon the Pass Gschütt to Gosau are tuely worthwhile.
People who like rustic snacks and who are interested in native specialitiesshould go on along the forest street in order to get to the Rinnbergalm where huts which are open to the public can be found. Your journey there will take you one and a half hours and another one and a half hours back from here, down to Russbach, along the forest street again.
